NWFA UniversitySt. Charles, Miss.—The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) has launched an updated series of sales-focused courses on its online learning platform, NWFA University (NWFAU). This updated learning path includes 10 renovated courses that provide foundational information about the wood flooring industry and its range of available products.

These courses are designed to help industry professionals effectively sell real wood flooring in an increasingly competitive marketplace. The courses available in this series are:

  • Hardwood flooring history and trends
  • Basic tree anatomy
  • From the forest to the floor
  • How cut affects wood flooring
  • Solid wood flooring
  • Engineered wood flooring
  • Bamboo as a flooring option
  • Cork as a flooring option
  • Reclaimed wood flooring
  • Trim and moulding

Tailored for the on-the-go sales professional, the updated courses feature brief three to five-minute videos that can be viewed anywhere and anytime, intended to make learning convenient and accessible. The new course interface is responsive to various devices, including laptops, tablets and smartphones. With these enhancements, industry training is always within reach. The remaining sales advisor courses will be launched later in 2024.

NWFAU consists of more than 350 e-learning courses, each with an online testing component. Completing a series of courses leads to earning digital badges, which NWFA members can display on websites and social media platforms to verify their skills.
