HoenfongViken, Sweden—Välinge Innovation has signed a new license agreement with Hoenfong Home Living Technology Co. Ltd. The agreement expands the companies’ collaboration to include Välinge’s 5G H/B One one-panel herringbone technology.

The agreement also supports the continued introduction of 5G H/B One across international flooring markets.

Hoenfong has more than 20 years of flooring industry experience and has been a Välinge licensee since 2019. The company specializes in engineered hardwood, laminate and parquet products for international markets.

“We see 5G H/B One as a strong fit for our herringbone offering,” said Andy He, sales manager at Hoenfong Home Living Technology Co. Ltd. “It combines the premium appearance of traditional herringbone with an efficient and reliable installation solution, giving us greater flexibility in product development and new opportunities to bring competitive products to market.”

Hoenfong’s distribution partner, F.W. Barth & Co. GmbH, also supported the decision to adopt the technology. The German importer and service provider identified demand for more user-friendly herringbone flooring.

“5G H/B One brings clear benefits to herringbone flooring by making installation more intuitive and efficient,” said Sebastian Kruczek, managing partner at F.W. Barth & Co. GmbH. “We see great potential for products featuring the technology and look forward to introducing them to our customers.”

One-panel system simplifies installation

5G H/B One eliminates the need for separate A and B panels traditionally used in herringbone installations. Instead, installers use one panel type that connects in all directions.

The system also simplifies production and logistics while providing a strong, reliable locking system.

“5G H/B One was developed to make herringbone easier throughout the value chain, from production and logistics to installation,” said Laetitia Kimblad, director of business unit flooring technology at Välinge Innovation. “Hoenfong’s decision to adopt the technology is another important step in its market introduction, and we look forward to supporting both Hoenfong and Barth as they bring new herringbone products to customers.”
