Fostoria, Ohio—Roppe Corporation will make its debut at BDNY Nov. 8-9 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. The company will showcase its PixelArt Minimalist Collection as part of its newly developed Roppe Hospitality offerings.
The collection features Roppe’s first digitally printed and coated rubber flooring. The company recently showcased PixelArt at the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo in New Orleans.
Roppe designed the collection for applications across multiple sectors, including healthcare, hospitality, education and commercial environments.
Digital printing meets rubber flooring
PixelArt combines specialized printing technology with a factory-applied protective coating.
Roppe uses 100% solids, LED UV-cured inks that contain no solvents or heavy metals. The company pairs these inks with DiamondShield Pro, a coating that incorporates diamond dust particles and ceramic powder technology.
Together, the materials create formulations free of Red List chemicals. According to Roppe, the combination provides color clarity, fade resistance and protection against scratches and stains.
The flexible finish moves with the rubber flooring and does not require reapplication. PixelArt also contains no PVC, PFAS, PFOA or phthalates.
The collection uses precision Piezo printhead technology to create depth through layered colorization.
PixelArt’s Minimalist Collection offers 21 colors designed to resemble carpet tile. The flooring combines a textile-inspired appearance with the durability, moisture resistance and low maintenance of rubber.
Subtle micropatterns help conceal dirt and everyday debris. The rubber construction also resists crushing and matting while preventing allergen accumulation.
Roppe offers the flooring in 50 centimeter tiles with four installation patterns. Options range from a monolithic layout to a quarter-turn checkerboard design.
Sustainability and commercial applications
PixelArt holds GREENGUARD Gold and FloorScore certifications. The collection also meets NSF/ANSI 332 Level 1 certification and Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) criteria.
Additionally, the flooring supports LEED, WELL and Living Building Challenge project goals. Roppe accepts the product for recycling through its IMPACT Program. The company developed PixelArt for a variety of commercial settings.
In healthcare environments, the collection combines calming colors with indoor air quality and hygiene considerations.
For hospitality applications, its understated palette offers design flexibility for boutique hotels and retail spaces. The collection also provides options for education, corporate and government projects.
“PixelArt is one of the most significant innovations Roppe has ever introduced and it deserves to be seen in person,” said Dee Dee Brickner, marketing manager at Roppe. “Healthcare Design Expo and BDNY put us in front of the designers, specifiers and decision-makers shaping two very different kinds of spaces and PixelArt belongs in both. This is our first time exhibiting at BDNY and it’s the right moment to show the hospitality community in person that our advanced technology delivers a beautiful visual and real durability, all in a Red List Chemical-free formulation.”
