DALTON—In Shaw Floors’ premier Fall Flooring Preview videos, Director of Color, Style and Design Emily Morrow announces that “boring” beige is out this season. In its place, fall flooring renovators will find an array of vibrant gold, Dior-inspired gray, Amalfi Coast blue, French roast brown and timeless taupe colors to provide inspiring design options for the home. The two fall videos were introduced at Shaw’s Facebook page, facebook.com/shawfloors. Covering carpet and hard surfaces respectively, each highlight distinctive color options and offer renovators an opportunity to support their local economy by shopping the most fashionable flooring selection at a local Shaw retailer, said Morrow.

“While Shaw continues to create carpet in diverse shades of beige, we’re finding that consumers want to see more colorful options, and they want to be able to buy these trendy floors locally,” said Morrow. “We look for the newest colors and styles from the most inspiring design sources, including the catwalks in the fashion capitols of the world, and we’ve had a lot of fun bringing these relevant trends to life in each flooring category this fall.”

Among the selections are a Christian Dior-inspired gray that has been incorporated into an Anso Nylon Stylish Grid carpet style in the color Castle Rock and an Epic hardwood floor style, Pebble Hill, in the color Stonehenge. These luxurious grays can act as a neutral or bring a stylish richness to a room, said Morrow.

For those seeking brighter color, vibrant gold can be found in Shaw’s Anso Nylon Step By Step style in the color Pineapple. This stand-out gold color is being used as a dynamic backdrop to create an array of modern styles. Shaw is also incorporating a brighter aqueous blue-green called Amalfi Coast into its Glass Expressions tile in the Seaglass color. The wall tile can help bring a multi-toned hue into a kitchen or bathroom, and will be found in design magazines and flooring retail stores throughout the season, said Morrow.

On the darker end of the spectrum, consumers will see “French roast” brown in the Grand Canyon hardwood in Bright Angel. This deep color, very different from the brown family of the 1970s, is elegant in feel and will be accented by the classic taupe color, said Morrow. Merging the taupe and French roast brown colors is the Majestic Vision laminate in the Newport color.

“This fall, we’re seeing some really striking colors that accent each other well, and will provide such an array of options for today’s renovator,” said Morrow. “It’s so important to us at Shaw that our buyers know that they don’t have to go elsewhere to find the most stylish options. These designs and colors are right around the corner, so they can find the floor of their dreams and support their local economy by buying at a local Shaw retailer.”
