ATLANTA—The upcoming ICON Honors award ceremony, scheduled for July 17 during the Atlanta International Area Rug Market, will host five-time Grammy winner.

Michael McDonald in addition to notable retailers, product manufacturers and sales agencies. In addition to a private concert, industry participants will be presented with awards in 18 categories.

The concert is designed to reflect the importance of the inaugural awards pro- gram, said Jeffrey Portman, AmericasMart’s president and CEO. “It is an honor to have a legend like Michael on our stage for the first Honors awards. He has had a significant impact on the music world and will help us celebrate those who have had a positive impact on our industry.”

Created by AmericasMart Atlanta in partnership with the Gift & Home Trade Association and HFN magazine, ICON Honors is the first international program to embrace the home and gift categories in an independent recognition of achievement across the industry, said Tara King, senior manager of media relations for AmericasMart.
