Atlanta—Invista announced today that the second annual People’s Choice Award for carpet style innovation featuring Antron carpet fiber has been awarded to Tandus Flooring’s District. The product was chosen by professional architects and designers in an online voting contest at antronfirstlife.net. The online voting was open to professional architects and interior designers from August 30, 2010 to September 30, 2010. Each person was able to cast one vote.

Earlier this year, District won both the Modular Gold and Grand Prize in the Antron Carpet Fiber Product Innovation Awards.  A judging panel of architects and designers awarded the product for its fresh approach to a linear pattern and handsomely tailored look with subtle colors.

“We developed the People’s Choice award to honor carpet mills for carpet styling innovation directly from the broad audience of architects and designers,” said Diane O’Sullivan, global marketing director of Invista’s commercial flooring segment.  “This award also gives us insight into what they view as innovative styling for commercial carpet.”

District offers a refined geometric patterning in a hybrid resilient platform. Expansive areas of textured ground, combined with clean deliberate strokes of colored lines and rectangles, represent how far hybrid textile composite design capabilities have progressed. This collection features 17 colorways that include a versatile range of warm and cool grays, wood-tones and taupe-influenced earth shades in Antron Lumena solution dyed nylon, is SCS certified for its recycled content and is NSF-140 Platinum Certified.  To see more information on District, visit tandus.com.
