Kennesaw, Ga. –Mack H. Hale of Roswell, GA passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2012 after spending 40 years in the floor covering industry, where his contagious enthusiasm and optimism for work and life created strong and enduring relationships. Throughout the years, Mack excelled in different industry roles in the mill, retail and fiber communities. Most recently, Mack was manager, major accounts, at INVISTA Surfaces, where for the last decade he played a significant role in supporting the INVISTA aligned distribution networks and calling on retail buying groups.
Steve Griffith, INVISTA Surfaces chief marketing officer and long-time friend and colleague said, “Mack’s passing is a tremendous loss to our INVISTA family and to the many people in our industry who Mack touched with his professionalism and infectious positive attitude. We will miss him terribly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mack’s loving family, who were the light of his life.”
Born in west Texas to Mack and Margarite Hale, Mack began his career as a civilian Air Force Flight Instructor with several of his trainees serving at NASA. Mack had a deep Christian faith and he lived his life with passion and drive for adventure. He loved motorcycles, flying, fast cars, running and later in life, riding four wheelers with his grandkids.
Mack is survived by his wife and best friend of 49 years, Joyce and his sons, Hampton (Rose) Hale and Garrett (Jennifer) Hale; grandchildren: Sophie, Jack, KiKi, Zach, and Charlie; sister, JoAnn Ripper. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jere Billings. Memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association in Mack’s honor, via the Roswell Funeral Home.
