Super-Click International has signed an agreement to distribute Super-Click, the world’s most versatile click flooring system, in New Zealand.
The deal to distribute Super-Click is with Auckland-based Jacobsen. One of New Zealand’s leading flooring specialists and will involve using a variety of outlets to launch the range to the wholesale and retail markets in July.
Jacobsen specializes in architectural, wholesale and retail sales and partners with some of the world’s top suppliers such as Tarkett, Shaws Contract Group, Nora and Regupol
Super-Click is one of the world’s most flexible LVT floating floor systems. It was originally developed by Mei Li Sheng, based in Guangzhou, China. The product has taken the flooring industry by storm since it was launched in 2011, due to its unique locking system, ease of installation and technical specifications.
Jacobsen became aware of Super-Click during exhibitions in Hannover and Las Vegas where two separate Jacobsen team members independently chose the product as a perfect fit for the company.
Stewart Procter, Chief Executive Officer of Super-Click International commented: “Jacobsen is renowned and respected throughout the industry and so we are enormously pleased to have signed this deal with such a prestigious company.
“Jacobsen has shown drive throughout discussions and is fully committed to the product, making the company a solid partner for Super-Click International.”
The deal marks Jacobsen’s first move into the LVT sector. Mark von Batenburg, Managing Director, Jacobsen said: “We see Super-Click International as a long term partner in this product category.
“Jacobsen is always looking for innovative products to market which have a major point of difference and the technology used by Super-Click is cutting edge and a perfect fit for our growing product profile.
“Super-Click and Jacobsen will work together to develop the product in order to meet the specific demands of the New Zealand marketplace.”
In 2011, the developer of the Super-Click technology, Mei Li Sheng, entered into an exclusive licensing and cooperation agreement with Beauflor, a division of Beaulieu International Group (“BIG”).
The deal gave Beauflor the rights to bring this new LVT technology to market under the name “Dream-Click” to markets in Western and Eastern Europe, Russia and North America.
Under the agreement, the developer, Mei Li Sheng, retained rights to emerging markets in Asia, Central and South America, the Middle East, Africa and Australia and New Zealand. The Super-Click brand is managed by Super-Click International, headquartered in Lancashire, UK.
