With years of experience in the flooring industry, Al Kabus is now a member of CoMc 's board of directors.

Omaha – CoMc, manufacturer of the Eclipse, Avaire and SnapStone Floating Flooring Systems, announced the addition of building and commercial flooring products industry veteran Al Kabus to the company’s board of directors.

Kabus brings a strong history of industry experience and success to CoMc’s board. Throughout his career, he has held executive leadership roles as CEO of Bentley Mills, CEO of Interface Workplace Solutions Group and most recently as president of The Mohawk Group, the commercial and international division of Mohawk Industries. CoMc recruited Kabus as an active board member to spearhead the growth of the commercial segment of its business.

“The initial  success of the SnapStone and Avaire residential brands, coupled with the introduction of the Eclipse commercial flooring brand, provides strong momentum for the future of CoMc’s overall success,” Kabus said. “The SnapSys Interloc system, which serves as the foundation for our modular ceramic brands, has in a relatively short time established very high value across all flooring industry channels. I look forward to playing an active role in fostering revenue and profit growth for the brands.”

“[Kabus’s] addition as an active CoMc board member signals our company’s growing prominence in the industry,” noted Jonathan McIntosh, CoMc’s CEO. “He has an impressive track record leading established companies like Mohawk, as well as building other firms that quickly achieved success as leaders in their field.

“I and the rest of the board have enjoyed [Kabus’s] contributions thus far. We look forward to working together to make the SnapSys InterLoc system and associated brands synonymous with quality and innovation across all channels of distribution, including working with tile manufacturers who wish to offer their tile with our differentiated installation system,” McIntosh said.

A published author and respected keynote speaker at industry functions, Kabus also holds board positions with several other companies and charitable organizations.
