Waco, Texas — Don Dwyer Sr., the late founder of The Dwyer Group, will be inducted into the 2012 Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame (EHOF) on Saturday, December 1.

Since 2002, the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame recognizes business leaders who have impacted the world through philanthropy and innovation

“This recognition is a tremendous honor for my father, our family and The Dwyer Group as a company,” said Dina Dwyer-Owens, Dwyer’s daughter and chairwoman and CEO of The Dwyer Group. “My father achieved his entrepreneurial vision for The Dwyer Group but also helped others succeed in business through the creation of programs like VetFran, which grants military personnel and current veterans the opportunity to own their own franchise. For a prestigious organization like the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame to acknowledge my father’s entrepreneurial effort is incredible.”

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony is Saturday, December 1 at the historical estate venue in Buckhead, Ga. In addition to the late Don Dwyer, other 2012 recipients include: Fred Deluca, founder of Subway; Sara Blakely, founder of Spanx and the world’s youngest female billionaire; Harris Rosen, president and CEO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts; and David Anderson, founder of restaurant chain Famous Dave’s.

This year’s recipients are all founders and executives of companies that earn over $100 million in annual sales and exemplify the EHOF’s core values of philanthropy and innovation.

The EHOF is housed within the Epicenter, a leading center for studying and teaching entrepreneurship. For more information, visit http://www.theehalloffame.com.
