Calhoun, GA – Mannington Commercial, a leader in flooring for commercial interiors, announces the launch of the Il Palio Collection – a lush mix of classic, transitional and contemporary styling for healthcare projects, with a special focus on senior living. Bringing the broadest range of design options available for this market, Il Palio includes six running line patterns, including two products developed specifically for rooms and eight custom options.

“To develop the collection, we partnered with Dean Maddalena of studioSIX5, whose team has been committed to the design of senior living communities for fifteen years,” said Alex

Jauregui, Mannington senior vice president and general manager for Carpet Business. “Dean’s understanding of the market has helped create elegant, classic patterns that work well together in the scale of patterns and facilitated the coordination between hard surface and carpet.”

“Il Palio was inspired by the timeless pageantry of Italy’s famous Il Palio di Siena horse race, and the colors and heraldry that are on display,” said Maddalena. “The sophisticated, elegant patterns of the collection bring an aesthetic of hospitality and luxury homes to senior living. Because it features multiple scales – ranging from a small, near solid look, to medium and large scales for public spaces – Il Palio allows for real flexibility in design for all kinds of markets”

The patterned styles come in seven colorways and room carpets feature two colorways. Each broadloom pattern is engineered with type 6,6 nylon for superior stain resistance and appearance retention, and includes Xguard stain resistant and ColorSafe bleach resistant technologies. The carpet is backed with Integra HP high performance broadloom backings, with an impermeable moisture barrier; certified as an Environmentally Preferable Product to the NSF/ANSI-140 Gold standard. UltraBac RE is a custom option backing, containing a minimum of 10% post-consumer recycled content; certified NSF/ANSI-140 Platinum.

Building upon Mannington Commercial’s unique ability to offer every flooring solution from one point of contact, the collection is strategically designed to coordinate with Mannington Commercial heterogeneous and homogeneous sheet, LVT, VCT, rubber, porcelain and wall base collections that are popular for

healthcare projects. In particular, coordinating NeoCon Gold-winning Vivendi resilient sheet brings a textile look to hard surface performance, while Realities and Nature’s Paths bring realistic, natural or abstract, linen-inspired visuals to the floor.

These products together bring not only the advantage of coordinating design, but also benefits including Seam+Advantage chemically welded seamless transitions, LockSolid glueless installation and Quantum Guard HP, the industry’s hardest, most durable wearlayer.

The Il Palio Collection is made in the USA as part of Mannington’s deep commitment to keeping Americans employed and manufacturing quality domestic products.
