Manchester, N.H.—Carpet One Floor & Home has launched its new collection of pink ribbon welcome mats to support breast cancer research. Since 2004, the Carpet One Welcomes Your Support campaign has been raising funds to help organizations and researchers find a cure. This year’s collection features 12 new designs that make a statement of support in any home. Twenty-five percent of each sale will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

The mats are designed to withstand both indoor and outdoor conditions, each complete with a sturdy rubber backing and a pink ribbon to remind people of the cause they support. All of Carpet One Floor & Home’s welcome mats are stain- and water-resistant and machine-washable.

The pink ribbon welcome mats have raised more than $850,000 for breast cancer research and awareness charities since the campaign started in 2004.

“When consumers purchase these mats, it provides critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide,” said Myra Biblowit, BCRF’s president. “The mats also serve as a great everyday reminder to keep fighting as we search for a cure.”

In addition to adding color to any entryway or room, the mats also keep floors clean. Placing one at every door actually protects floors by trapping dirt before it makes its way into a home to cause more stains, noted designer Julie Edelman.

Carpet One Floor & Home also looks forward to continuing its partnership with Edelman, “The Accidental Housewife”, who has once again created a signature mat design. “I love this sanity-saving welcome mat,” she said. “It keeps your floors clean, looks great and distracts your guests from seeing the crack in your front steps. Not to mention it’s machine-washable, manicure-friendly and supports a great cause.”

Pink ribbon welcome mats are available year round at Carpet One Floor & Home stores for approximately $24.99 in the U.S., $34.99 in Canada. “They can make great additions to kitchens and bathrooms as well,” Edelman noted.
