Calhoun, Ga. — Mannington Commercial was named a finalist for Georgia Manufacturer of the Year award.
The award is part of a Manufacturing Appreciation Week developed by the Georgia Department of Economic Development and the Technical College System of Georgia.
Mannington was nominated by Jabari Simama, president of Georgia Piedmont Technical College, for providing quality jobs and exemplifying corporate citizenship. Mannington has more than 1,000 employees in three communities. In its Madison, Ga., manufacturing plant, Mannington has grown the number of jobs by 30% through “on-shoring” the production of LVT from Asia, and is expected to double the total employment at the facility by the end of this year.
