Export, Pa. — EY announced that Ed Perrin, CEO of Karndean Designflooring, is a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 Award in the western Pennsylvania and West Virginia program.

The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Perrin was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges.

Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 20, 2014, at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown Hotel.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be a finalist for this award,” Perrin said. “Karndean has literally grown from a company of five people when we came to Pittsburgh to the large company we are today. I have our employees to thank and recognize for our continued success and growth.”

Now in its 28th year, the program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries throughout the world.
