Calhoun, Ga.—Mohawk has announced that Paul Armstrong has been promoted to national wood manager/business development for the hard surfaces division. He is responsible for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of Mohawk hardwood sales and promotional outreach throughout the country.

Armstrong, who has 30 years of experience in hardwood product management, sales, product and installation training and claims resolution, joined Mohawk as the northeast region hardwood specialist in 2008. Prior to joining Mohawk, he served as vice president of the wood flooring division at SPI Floors.

“Mohawk is laser-focused on bringing great value, products and service to our dealers and their customers,” said Jamie Byrne, senior vice president, hard surfaces, Mohawk. “To accomplish our goals, we needed someone who was respected throughout the industry and who has a keen understanding of marketing principles and sales strategy to help us move the ball forward.”
