Sears launches ‘store-within-a-store’ concept for retailers

HomeNewsSears launches ‘store-within-a-store’ concept for retailers

Hoffman Estates, Ill.—Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores is offering a new store-within-a-store program that allows independent home category store owners, including flooring retailers, to expand their product lines without having to purchase inventory.

Merchandise options include an appliance-only format or appliances with tools and lawn and garden equipment.

Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores is looking to partner with suburban or rural businesses that have product offerings aligned with the Hometown store’s collection and between 2,000 to 5,000 square feet of space to fill in their locations.

All inventory is provided by Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores on consignment to the owner, therefore store-within-a-store partners are not required to pay for inventory or freight expenses.
