Mohawk touts laminate at Pulte Group’s Kitchen Throwdown

Home Press Release Mohawk touts laminate at Pulte Group’s Kitchen Throwdown

Calhoun, Ga.—Mohawk Flooring offered a laminate solution for today’s kitchens at the Pulte Group’s Kitchen Throwdown. The event challenged six supplier teams to create the most innovative and functional kitchens for today’s homeowners. Teams addressed three specific lifestyles: the family chef, the empty nester cooking enthusiast and the millennial entertainer. Once the kitchen vignettes were built, focus groups of target consumers provided feedback on the kitchens and how they fit into the consumers’ lifestyles.

The kitchens were unveiled at the PulteGroup Innovation Center in Norcross, Ga., on Oct. 19.

“[The event] gave us a chance to showcase Mohawk’s innovation in laminate flooring,” said Doug Davis, national sales manager builder/multifamily at Mohawk Flooring. “It is the perfect kitchen for active families who want durable, stain-resistant yet beautiful flooring.”
