Marietta, Ga.—Market Maker Events (MME), producers of the Flooring Markets, said the Southeast Flooring Market will now take place March 11-12, 2021, at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. The market was originally scheduled for Jan. 28-29.

“As we look forward to the Covid-19 vaccine being deployed, we feel the opportunity to move the market to March is a great opportunity offered to us from the Galleria to ensure the comfort of our community,” said Barbara Stroup, managing partner of MME. “Our current exhibitors support the move to March, and we anticipate adding more companies to the lineup as we move forward.”

George Forte, executive development director of Stanton Carpet, said the company is in support of the decision. “Stanton is pleased that you [Market Maker Events] were proactive and have moved the Atlanta market dates to March 11-12. This has always been a well-attended show for us and we are looking forward to another great Atlanta market.”

Market organizers said they received positive feedback from buyers as well, including Dave Sterne, founder and CEO of The Inside Track. “As the owner of a 23-year-old flooring company, I know how important it is to see and learn about new products in person,” Sterne said. “I applaud your dedication to the flooring industry as well as our safety–I look forward to attending the Southeast Flooring Market this Spring.”

The Southwest Flooring Market was also moved. Originally scheduled for Jan. 7-8 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, it will now be held April 8-9, 2021.

The regional Flooring Markets’ schedule also includes the Gulf Coast Flooring Market, which is still set to be held Feb. 25-26, 2021, at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center.
