Toronto—Torlys is continuing to make investments in its sales force and expand coverage with the recent addition of Sophiany Som in the new role of builder specialist, Grand Montreal & Gatineau Regions. In the new position, Som will be focusing on servicing the builder, developer, A&D and property management channels of the business across Montreal and Gatineau, Quebec Regions.

“Sophiany has a history of developing strong relationships and being a true team player,” said Gilles Bourbonnais, general manager of Torlys Quebec region. “We look forward to her joining Torlys and bringing her energy, drive and expertise to the team.”

With eight years of experience working as a business development manager in the flooring industry, Som’s background will support her in becoming an integral part of Torlys continued success, the company said. Prior to working in the building materials industry, Som owned a marketing, promotions and advertising company. She is a graduate of HEC Montreal where she received a Bachelor of Commerce.
