SamplesAppSamplesApp burst onto the flooring scene in 2023 by winning a Best of Surfaces award for innovation. At the time, some retailers hailed it as one of the best introductions they had seen in years.

The good news for SamplesApp fans: The brand continues to innovate.

Since the beginning of 2025, SamplesApp has streamlined the reordering process on samples, a move meant to simplify inventory management while giving dealers access to up-to-date samples. Additionally, the app now leverages AI reporting tools to analyze purchasing patterns, inventory levels and customer preferences, providing actionable insights for end users.

SamplesApp helps flooring retailers identify their most highly requested samples through real-time tracking and analytics. This data-driven approach helps optimize stock levels, forecast demand and tailor marketing efforts, ultimately improving the overall customer experience.

“SamplesApp has allowed us to save time checking out and returning customer samples more efficiently,” said Joel Martin, business manager for Macadam Floor and Design, Portland, Ore. “The app also gives us better insight on the status of our samples inventory, which benefits our employees and supplier reps.”

Other dealers said SamplesApp’s tools helps them remind clients to return samples and alerts RSAs to follow up. “Having the assigned RSA receive the same email reminders as the client is a great feature,” said Jason O’Krent, director of sales for San Antonio-based O’Krent Floors.

Sam Locher, vice president of business development, AJ Rose Carpets & Flooring, Burling- ton, Mass., added, “SamplesApp doesn’t just solve one problem, it solves several. It’s simple to use and will elevate you in your consumer’s eyes.”

That user friendliness has attracted new companies to the fold. This year supplier International Flooring Co. (IFC), distributor Cain & Bultman and retail group American Home Surfaces Group (AHSG)/Commercial USA have forged partnerships with SamplesApp.

“We’re excited to see technology being used to help all parties,” said Paul Walker, president of Cain & Bultman, Jacksonville, Fla. “In addition to the significant retailer benefits, SamplesApp helps suppliers track display and samples activation and performance. We think the analytics can be extremely helpful.”

In partnering with SamplesApp AHSG noted the brand’s forward-looking approach aligned with the needs of its members. “Their platform delivers speed, efficiency and a professional experience that can truly elevate the way our members serve their customers,” said Tony Wright, president.

SamplesApp has added new functionality to its cloud-based sample management platform with tools for ordering, tracking and delivering samples. By implementing voice search capabilities for dealers SamplesApp can provide a more intuitive way to check flooring samples. Retailers can find specific flooring samples through natural language commands, reducing the time spent navigating through menus.

With real-time visibility, centralized tracking and brand presentation, SamplesApp supports retail businesses by improving their sample delivery process and closing more sales.
