Dalton—The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) and its member companies worked with CRI vaccinationorganizations across the greater Dalton community to support vital vaccination efforts. CRI collaborated with industry members, local health organizations, state and local governments and numerous volunteers—as well as the Latin American Association—to procure vaccines for both carpet industry workers and the greater Dalton community.

“This public-private partnership shows the strength of our community as organizations across our region collaborate to meet the vaccination challenge head on,” said Joe Yarbrough, CRI president.

The combined effort of flooring industry competitors and community organizations resulted in more than 5,000 vaccinations administered at the manufacturers’ facilities in the Dalton area in the past two weeks. “CRI members worked together for the good of the community in this vaccine initiative,” Yarbrough said. “CRI is honored to work for the health and safety of our community members.”

Both manufacturers and community organizations took steps to provide vaccines in a safe, professional and practical way, CRI said. “As we near the end of the pandemic, our community leaders, organizations and businesses remain diligent in protecting the community, and keeping the public and the workforce safe,” Yarbrough commented.
