Solon, Ohio—Tarkett has named Tracy Cook to its growing commercial team as senior director, product management, soft surface.

Cook will set the strategy for all Tarkett North America commercial soft surface products. Her role will include lifecycle analysis, protecting and growing market share within current target market segments and managing existing product portfolios. She will also be responsible for identifying new product and service ideas, as well as opportunities for growth in new market segments.

“Tarkett’s design vision gives me confidence that we will see continuous growth in the soft surface segment in the coming years,” Cook said. “After many years in this industry, I still see untapped potential in soft-surface products. Our goal at Tarkett is to vigorously and passionately explore those opportunities—and to further advance innovations such as ethos and Powerbond—all while remaining dedicated to sustainability and wellness.”

Cook brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to her new role, having previously served as director, CX innovation with Georgia Pacific and as director of strategic insights and innovation with Shaw Industries.

“Tracy’s competitive backgrounds in carpet tile, brand strategy and marketing will bring unique experiences of problem solving to this critical role on our product management team,” said Paul Young, senior vice president.
