SAN DIEGO—Rick Holden, executive vice president of Derr Flooring Co., was elected chairman of the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) at the organization’s convention here. He replaces Neil Poland of Mullican who continues as past chairman. The board consists of four officers and 11 directors, each of whom is voted into office by NWFA’s membership to serve a  three-year term.

Others elected were John Lessick, president of Apex Wood Floors, vice chairman; Jeff Fairbanks, vice president of Palo Duro Hardwoods, treasurer; and Kim Holm, president of Mannington Mills’ residential division, secretary.

The following serve as directors: Wayne Cotton of Wheeler, Mark Elwell of Bamboo Flooring Hawaii, Enos Farnsworth of Basic Coatings, Barrry Gork of Timbermate, Bob Haggard of Hassell & Hughes Lumber Co., Jamie Lupresto of Diamond Flooring, Sprigg Lynn of Universal Floors, Tommy Maxwell of Maxwell Hardwood Flooring, Kevin Mullany of Benchmark Wood Floors, Jim Schumacher of 3M and John Wooten of CMH Space Flooring Products.
