ST. LOUIS—Beauflor, a division of Beaulieu International Group (BIG), has entered into an exclusive licensing and cooperation agreement with Mei Li Sheng of Guangzhou, China, for the mechanical-locking LVT technology known as Super-Click.
The agreement with BIG followed Super-Click’s exhibitions at Domotex shows in Germany and Shanghai this year where the product received overwhelming interest from the industry.
Beauflor will bring this new LVT technology to market under the name “Dream Click,” and has decided to invest in a new high-tech production line for this type of LVT. This new line will be installed in Beauflor’s current facilities in Wielsbeke, Belgium, and should be up and running by the beginning of 2012. The Dream Click LVT-range will be launched to markets in Western and Eastern Europe, Russia and North America.
Under the agreement, the developer, Mei Li Sheng, will retain rights to emerging markets in Asia, Central and South America, the Middle East, Africa and Australia and New Zealand. The Super Click brand will be managed by a newly created entity called Super-Click International, headquartered in Lancashire, U.K. Super-Click will continue to be manufactured in China. Super Click International plans to exhibit at Domotex Middle East in Dubai in Sept. 2011, in Germany in Jan. 2012 and in Shanghai in March 2012.
Beauflor’s Dream Click will be launched in tandem with a full LVT collection called “Podium”, including Podium Easy (peel and stick); Podium Pro (dry back for residential and commercial use); Podium Click (click LVT’s), and Podium XXL (offering 72” [183 cm] dry back planks). The Podium LVT’s will be available world-wide.
Both Dream Click and Podium LVT’s will be shown at Domotex Hannover 2012. Beauflor’s entire LVT-business will be managed by a newly created company, called Beauflor Vinyl Tiles NV.
Because of the recent investments and expansion into LVT’s, Beauflor is now offering to its customers a complete range of vinyl flooring solutions. Dream Click and Podium are joining Beauflor’s existing wide range of residential and commercial Cushion Vinyl products, available in 2mm, 3mm, 4mm and 5mm widths; the latter being a worldwide exclusive.
