Columbus, Oh.—Founder and President of Evans Carpet Junk Yard Inc., Larry Evans, died suddenly on November 22 at his home in Columbus, Ohio.

Evans worked side by side with his children in the family buisness up until his death and was greatly known throughout the floorcovering industry. Evans was well regarded by many mills including Mohawk, Shaw and Beaulieu.

Preceded in death by his father Jack B. Evans, Larry is survived by his mother, Betty J. Evans of Columbus; loving wife of 55 years, Diana Evans (Perrini); children, Craig (Connie) Evans, Cheryl (Tom) Pitt, Michael (Lisa) Evans, Linda (Mike) Paullus, Karen (Lou) Griffith, Lisa (Don) Woosley, Annie (Ray) Heston, Anthony Evans and Jackie Evans, all of Columbus; grand-children, Diana (Kris) Campbell, Phillip Pitt, Nick, Andrew, Vincent, Luke, Abby, Dominic, Maria and Angelo Evans, Ashley and Allie Paullus, Grant and Peter Griffith, Evan, Michael and Lydia Woosley, Ruthie and Jack Robert “Larry” Heston; great-grandson, Max Campbell; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gloria and Dave Melfi of Destin, FL, Dolores Fawbush of Hilliard, Elaine and Willie Neumann of Hilliard; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
