Dalton—Carl Bouckaert, a founder and owner of Beaulieu of America, will be competing in the London Olympic Games. Bouckaert, a native of Belgium, was selected for its Equestrian team. This is the second time the 58-year-old will be competing in the Olympics, having first appeared in Sydney 12 years ago.

“This is certainly exciting for our company, Dalton and the state of Georgia to have Carl as a competitor in this year’s Olympics,” said Ralph Boe, Beaulieu’s CEO. In Bouckaert’s sport, Eventing, horse and rider must compete in a grueling test of dressage, cross country timed jumping and stadium show jumping through three successive days.

The London Games open July 27 with the Equestrian competition beginning the next day at Greenwich Park, London’s oldest Royal Park.
