LATICRETE, a global manufacturer and leader of premium installation and finishing systems for the building industry, honored long-time customer Wm. Erath and Son, Inc., in celebration of the company’s 100th anniversary. The firm is a full-service, fifth-generation commercial tile contractor which has been active in the construction industry dating back to 1912.

The key to this longevity, declared Erath, is quality. “We believe in having total quality in both our customers and our installations. We work mostly with an established group of repeat customers, because we know what they want… and, they provide us with quality jobs. Quality breeds quality; that keeps us going.”Working within the tri-

Erath and Son. “We are now coming up on our fifth generation with my son, Thomas, who just started with us as Project Manager.”

The strong relationship between Wm. Erath and Son and LATICRETE is a prime example of this commitment to quality. “We have partnered with LATICRETE since the 1970’s,” continued Erath. “My father started the partnership, and we have kept it going because of the great products and service. If you are going to commit yourself to excellence, you need to work with other firms with similar mindsets.”

Tom McKeon, LATICRETE Technical Sales Representative added, “I have been working with the Erath organization on behalf of LATICRETE for 25 years. The company is comprised of true professionals who work with integrity. Our relationship has evolved into much more than just one of business. Not only do I consider the people at Wm. Erath and Son to be good customers; I consider them as very good friends, as well.”

LATICRETE President, North American Division, Ed Metcalf, who personally presented a specially inscribed silver platter to Scott Erath in honor of his firm’s one hundred years, summed it all up by stating, “The Erath organization epitomizes the enduring principles of successful multi-generational family businesses. The entire LATICRETE family is proud to be associated with them and to recognize this milestone event”.
