Wes Millner

LaGrange, Ga. — Growing what already is a strong foothold in the military sector, Interface is seeking an even larger share of that market and has named Guy Wesley (Wes) Millner to a newly created position of managing director of military sales.

Millner, a native of Atlanta, has wedded a 26-year career in the U.S. Army, where he holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, with a successful professional background in the construction and real estate fields.  A licensed broker and commercial and residential general contractor, Millner joined John Wieland Homes soon after serving on active duty for the first Gulf War. A year later, in 1995, he started his own real estate firm, Millner Land & Development Company, which grew to over $10 million in revenue and has enjoyed a reputation as one of Atlanta’s most respected residential builder/developers. With numerous awards and decorations for his service in the armed forces, Millner had two tours of duty for the current conflict; 2005-2007 and again 2009-2010, when he served in the Middle East.

“Wes Millner brings to Interface the perfect mix of experience for helping us expand even further in this specialized category,” said Wendell Hadden, vice president, market development, who made the announcement. He explained, “The opportunities to do business with the military have multiplied as our modular carpet tile products ideally answer the government’s sustainability standards for furnishing both the residential and commercial properties owned and developed by this segment. A man with his commitment, character and integrity also are tremendous assets, and we’re fortunate to have [Millner] join our team and help us develop the potential the military now represents.”

Millner is based in the company’s Atlanta office. He remains an active duty Army Reservist and is commander of a Medical Support Unit out of Greenville, SC.
