Flexitions moldingRiverside, Calif.—Flexitions, a maker of stainable, flexible transition moldings, has launched its new Flexitions 2-in-1 Stair-Nose Riser Molding. The product is a patent-pending molding profile specifically designed for use within stair and step flooring installations. It is designed to eliminate the need for a traditional stair nose molding.

The Flexitions 2-in-1 Stair-Nose Riser Molding can be used with many different hard surface flooring products, such as luxury vinyl plank flooring, wood flooring and laminate flooring. The new profile allows for flooring to be installed up to the edge of any stair or step. In addition, it serves as a stair nose and stair riser at the same time. The dual functionality is an industry first, the company said, and provides more flexibility plus a smoother and safe transition within a stair or step floor covering application.

“Due to ongoing custom inquires and demand from the industry, we decided to release this product industry wide, adding it to our standard product offering,” said Gary Hernandez, Sr., president of Flexitions. “The need for this type of molding has been growing dramatically, and we have always been at the forefront of transition molding innovation. So, we wanted to provide this to an industry that has supported Flexitions for over 15 years. We are focused on ease of installation and problem solving. We will continue to pursue this mission serving flooring retailers, flooring distributors and contractors.”

The molding is available unfinished, pre-finished and custom finished. All options include three grain and texture options, which are maple, oak and exotic.
