Karastan to debut limited edition rug at Atlanta Rug Market

HomePress ReleaseKarastan to debut limited edition rug at Atlanta Rug Market

Sugar Valley, Ga.—Karastan will reveal a limited edition Axminster rug, Mystic Garden from the Artisan Collection, at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market slated for July 8-11. Only 75 of these rugs will be produced, making Mystic Garden a collector’s item from the beginning.

Mystic Garden takes Persian design and makes it relevant to today’s lifestyle with elements of contemporary design, such as the “eroded” or faded border. “It alludes to the idea that the rug is an antique that has been care-worn for decades,” said Tracy Pruitt, Karastan’s vice president of design. “The elimination of a distinct traditional border also makes the rug feel more casual and soft.”
