Los Angeles–Jeff and Todd Hamar, former owners of distributor Galleher Hardwood in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., have repurchased the company it sold to the Japanese tradingcompany Itochu Corp in 2007. Terms were not disclosed.

“The opportunity to own and manage an extremely well capitalized company as the recovery begins and growth returns was too good a deal to pass on,” said Jeff Hamar, who assumes his old role as president. Todd Hamar resumes his role as senior vice president.

Hamar said the company will put more of a focus on hardwood and specialty products.

The company operates 11 warehouse facilities in California, Arizona and Nevada. For more information, visit www.galleher.com.
