Manchester, N.H.—Carpet One Floor & Home’s pink ribbon welcome mats have arrived in 10 expanded styles for the 2010 holidays. Since 2004, the co-op has contributed financially to breast cancer research through the co-op Welcomes Your Support program.

Welcome mats woven with the pink breast cancer ribbon allocate 25% of those funds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. Over the years, the program has raised more than $800,000 in the U.S. and Canada.

“The Carpet One Floor & Home Welcomes Your Support campaign has given us the opportunity to support worthy organizations searching for a cure for breast cancer,” said Terri Daniels, vice president of public relations for Carpet One Floor & Home. “We are excited to offer a great gift idea to our customers and also support a cause we believe in.”

The mats are stain- and water-resistant, machine washable and made in America. In addition to the co-op’s 10 designs there are two new signature designs: One by Julie Edelman, the Accidental Housewife and Carpet One flooring advocate, and another from designer Glen Peloso.

“When given the opportunity to design one of Carpet One Floor & Home’s pink ribbon welcome mats, I wanted to create something both useful and stylish as a way to support the cause,” said Peloso. “You’ll be seeing houndstooth in the fall and winter fashion collections and it is a perfect accent for a stylish home.”

The mats are available year round at Carpet One Floor & Home stores for approximately $24.99. Visit carpetone.com to find the nearest vendor.
