HomerWood strengthens Northwest distribution

Titusville, Pa.—In an effort to better support its customers in the Pacific Northwest, HomerWood expanded its relationship with Cascade Pacific Flooring Distributors Inc., according to Kathleen Barker, vice president, Operations, HomerWood. Cascade will provide sales and distribution functions to retailers and builder subcontractors in Oregon, Southern and Northern Idaho, Washington, Montana and Alaska.

According to Barker, the relationship with Cascade will have a positive impact on retailers and on the business. “Cascade is a great distribution partner that provides the quality and service levels our customers expect from HomerWood,” she said. “As a supplier we have an obligation to provide our loyal retailers and contractors with the best products and services possible.”

Enthusiasm for the brand has gone up dramatically, Barker said. “We are convinced this will position HomerWood solidly as the clear leader in specialized, character flooring in this marketplace.”  Barker believes the opportunity to grow the territory is significant because many dealers have not been exposed to many of the products HomerWood has introduced over the past two years, numerous colors, different surface applications and oil finish naturals, as well as a collection of 100% reclaimed hardwoods.  HomerWood also continues to offer custom manufacturing options as well such as Herringbone precuts, custom stains and different gloss levels.

Cascade boasts an all star sales force, customer service and marketing teams, delivery system, and credit and accounts payable departments. “We understand the challenges of serving the market from personal experience – we know what it takes to help our customers win in the marketplace,” said Bill James, General Manager, Cascade Pacific Flooring Distributors, Inc. in Portland, Oregon. This location services Oregon and Southern Idaho.

“Our inventory, showrooms, experienced sales staff and dedication to customer service sets us apart as the leading specialty hardwood flooring distributor in the Pacific Northwest,” added Marc Portsmouth, general manager, Cascade – Seattle, which services Washington, Northern Idaho, Montana and Alaska.

In order to meet the demanding expectations of its vender/contractor partners, Cascade carries a complete line of high quality wood flooring products.  Cascade’s affiliated offices include Rio Grande Flooring Distributors, Inc., Lockwood Flooring Distributors, North Georgia Flooring Distributors and Denver Hardwood Company.
