Dalton—Mohawk has tapped long-time flooring marketer and communications expert Elise Demboski as its new vice president of Creative Services. Demboski has more than 20 years experience managing high profile brands in the floor covering industry and will work to further cultivate Mohawk’s position as a globally innovative and sustainable company. In addition to leading the company’s creative, public relations and Internet marketing teams, Demboski will develop innovative programs and campaigns to enhance Mohawk’s residential and commercial presence.
“Elise is a visionary with a proven record of leading successful marketing campaigns in the flooring industry,” said David Duncan, vice president of marketing at Mohawk. “She will play a key role in streamlining the Mohawk message, ensuring our powerful brands remain strategically positioned in the residential and commercial marketplaces.”
Demboski comes to Mohawk from Wools of New Zealand, where she worked in partnership with manufacturers, retailers and designers to increase awareness and sales of Wools of New Zealand brand carpets and rugs. Included in her responsibilities was the management of all marketing, advertising, training, promotions and public relations efforts. Demboski also worked as an industry consultant for several leading flooring providers and served as communications manager for Karastan, a division of Mohawk Industries.
“As a veteran of the flooring industry, I have watched Mohawk evolve over the past two decades,” Demboski explained. “Despite all of the industry’s changes, Mohawk has consistently remained the top flooring company and it is a real privilege to join this talented team.”
