Mohawk Group product catalog combines creativity, practicality

Marietta, Ga.—For the first time, three of Mohawk’s commercial flooring brands—Karastan Contract, Lees and Bigelow—are compiled in one printed publication that architects and designers can easily reference. The Mohawk Group is issuing its inaugural product catalog, which contains detailed information about every product manufactured under these brands as well as photography of the company’s collections.

“The features of this catalog separate Mohawk from the competition,” said Merrie Barnett, director of marketing for The Mohawk Group. “We expect it will become a trusted resource that architects and designers will use to show their clients that Mohawk always offers the right product for the right space at the right price.”

The idea is that this catalog will work for every architect, designer and end user, she explained. “All product pages feature comprehensive specification information, available product colors, coordinating products, as well as a sustainability grid that examines each product’s LEED eligibility. In addition, Mohawk has designed the catalog to be highly interactive. The company outfitted each product page with a QR code that directs smartphone users to a mobile cart where they can order product samples.”

Ordering product samples has never been easier or faster, Barnett said. The full product offering is categorized by product platform: modular, broadloom and woven. Each is then sub-categorized by brand: Karastan Contract, Lees and Bigelow. Moreover, the catalog is indexed by both product name and collection name to further ensure product identification is effortless.

For designers who prefer to work online, Mohawk created a digital version of the catalog available at Mohawk Group.com. A catalog smartphone app will be available before the end of the year.
