Syosset, N.Y.— Stanton Carpet has partnered with DIY Network to feature exclusive styles—including Shagtasticof the Avant Garde Collection, Mondovi of the Versilia Collection andPromenade of the Shalimar Collection—on its new, 10-episode, home-renovation series, “Rev Run’s Renovation.” The show premiered Saturday, Jan. 4.
The new series will track the progress of the full renovation of the home of hip hop icon Joseph Simmons, commonly known as Rev. Run. A practicing minister, Rev. Run is a founding member of Run DMC, which is widely considered one of the one of the most influential Hip Hop groups to date.
Rev. Run, along with his wife Justine, will allow viewers to share in their experience of fully renovating their 9,000 sq. ft. family home in Saddle River, N.J. The premiere episode showcased the remodeling effort that will encompass a complete restoration of the kitchen, master suite and the full refitting of their youngest daughter Miley’s bedroom and bathroom. Stanton’s Shagtastic will be featured prominently in her bedroom in the specially chosen color of Candy.
Viewers got a glimpse of Rev. Run’s wife Justine’s initial reaction to Miley’s “fairytale castle” bedroom renovation as it was revealed during the premiere episode.
