HomePress ReleaseTandus Centiva celebrates community involvement

Dalton — Tandus Centiva held its 5th annual Community Service Day on Feb. 28. More than 200 Tandus Centiva employees from the U.S. and Canada volunteered with organizations including the Boys & Girls Club of Chatsworth, the Women’s Enrichment Center, the Go Murray Art Center and Coffee Shop, Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Homes and Eastside Elementary School.

Employees performed facility improvement tasks that included painting, installing floor coverings, assembling playground equipment, and the installation of light fixtures, counters and shelving systems.

Tandus Centiva Community Service Day began in 2009 as part of the organization’s annual sales meeting. Rather than spend the day on traditional team building exercises, the company began organizing teams on projects that would benefit the hosting community. Each year, projects are identified and organized through various partnerships. Tandus Centiva employees enjoy the opportunity to work together for a common cause and build lasting relationships through their team efforts.
