Manteca, Calif.—The B.R. Funsten and Tom Duffy Company announced the promotion of Anne Funsten to president, effective Dec. 1, 2014.

Funsten has more than 20 years of direct experience with B.R. Funsten and Tom Duffy companies, across both residential and commercial markets and corporate affairs. She started learning the business when she joined the company as an outside territory sales manager on the residential side. As she developed her business acumen, she co-led the launch of the Flooring Plus program, which later became the company’s current Floorsight Loyalty Program.

Known as a progressive leader, Anne Funsten is credited with championing the LEED program and other environmental initiatives within the company. She has served on the Board of Directors for 10 years, building a deep understanding of the company’s day-to-day operations and has been instrumental in developing long term plans for the organization.

Company chairman and CEO Jim Funsten said, “As a member of the Funsten family, Anne’s loyalty and commitment to the business are un-paralleled. However, it is her level-headed business sense, passion for keeping our business relevant in competitive markets and professionalism in dealing with our key asset—our people—that make her the perfect person to move the company forward in this new era.”
