March 14/21, 2016; Volume 30, Number 19

Time is running out to vote for Floor Covering News’ annual Award of Excellence. The deadline is March 27, so there are only days remaining before the votes are tabulated.

We accept only one vote per person, so if you have already voted, thank you. If you have not yet voted, please take about two minutes.

A little background: Over the past 20 years, Floor Covering News has presented the Award of Excellence to the most deserving flooring manufacturers. These awards have become the industry benchmark of supplier expertise since they are voted on by you—their customers. The idea is to give retailers a chance to acknowledge those manufacturers that are doing the most to make them successful in their businesses. And for those suppliers who do not win, hopefully it serves notice that they have work to do to become better partners to you.

So once again, we are asking floor covering retailers to cast their votes in the Award of Excellence competition. Votes should be based on the following criteria: service, professionalism of sales force, management responsiveness, value, style and design, handling of claims and ease of doing business.

The late Chris Davis, former president and CEO of the World Floor Covering Association, and FCNews’ partner for the first 17 years of the awards program, said it best: “What began as a contest to engage attendees and exhibitors at Surfaces has evolved into the premier manufacturer recognition program in the floor covering industry. What makes the awards so meaningful is they are voted on by customers whose only motivation is to recognize those who perform flawlessly in every aspect of their business.”

The voting is very simple and takes no more than two minutes. Thank you, and please visit fcnews.net for a link to voting.
