Export, Pa.—Karndean Designflooring now offers 13 of its popular designs from the entry-level Knight Tile 12-mil gluedown range in an additional rigid core specification. According to the company, this new offering allows homeowners to choose the color that suits their decor in the construction that fits their needs.

“By adding Knight Tile to our rigid core selection, our retailers can offer a full spectrum of Karndean rigid core products, from entry-level to our premier Korlok Select range, and expand their customer base,” said Jenne Ross, director of marketing.“Offering the same visuals in two formats gives consumers the power to choose the construction that best fits their needs, not to mention the flexibility of using both formats throughout the home for color continuity.”

The gluedown format provides homeowners with peace of mind that planks will be permanently adhered to the subfloor and allows for personalization by choosing the direction and pattern in which planks and tiles are laid.Alternatively, rigid core clicks and locks into place without the use of adhesive. This format is the company’s quietest to walk on, ideal for upper levels in the home where consumers wish to minimize noise transfer to rooms below (ΔIIC 22).

Woods within the rigid core range are sized 48 x 7 inches and stones are 12 x 24 inches. Like all Karndean rigid core products, Knight Tile rigid core is equipped with 100% waterproof K-Core technology for installation over most existing hard floors with minimal upheaval for the consumer. Like their gluedown counterparts, Knight Tile rigid products have a 12mil wear layer, lifetime residential warranty and 10-year commercial warranty and are finished with K-Guard+ surface protection.
