Dalton — Tandus Centiva has partnered with Suzanne Tick Inc. to raise funding and awareness for the Publicolor Summer Design Studio.

Publicolor is a youth development not-for-profit that has a multi-day, multi-year program continuum. It was developed to uniquely engage disaffected students through commercial painting and applied learning models to transform their institutional-looking schools to warm, welcoming student centric environments. Through the Summer Design Studio (SDS), a seven- week summer enrichment program, Publicolor teaches at-risk teens literacy and math through the scaffold of product design. The program is held at the Pratt Institute and helps participants with S.A.T. exam prep while experiencing life on a college campus.

Tandus Centiva and Suzanne Tick have created a venue for clients and customers to support this program. Suzanne Tick designs a collection of soft surface flooring products for Tandus Centiva. When a product from this collection is specified and purchased for an education project, Suzanne Tick, Inc. and Tandus Centiva have each committed a 10 cents a square yard donation to Publicolor. With over 40 STI designs to choose from, these K-12 and higher education specifications and purchases will positively impact the lives of Publicolor students.
