Chinafloors gets into LVT

The Shanghai based flooring producer Chinafloors Timber (China) Co. Ltd, has set up a joint venture with an existing Chinese vinyl manufacturer for the manufacturing of Luxury Vinyl tile.  The joint venture company will produce the LVT while sales will be handled exclusively by Chinafloors.

The move fits into the general strategy of Chinafloors to offer its customers a broad range of high quality, well designed, sustainable and easy to install flooring systems. The company now has the most complete offering of floating floors in the industry, going from solid, engineered, laminate as well as LVT with floating installation systems.

“We are very excited to go into vinyl, and just as we did with laminate and wood flooring, will focus on product development and innovation to also become a leader in this category. And our customers like the idea of being able to consolidate their purchasing with one manufacturer”, said Thomas Baert, president, Chinafloors.

Chinafloors was established in 2004 by European and Taiwanese owners. The group produces solid and engineered wood as well as laminate and vinyl flooring. Chinafloors’s brand Lamett is now exported into over 70 countries worldwide and the company has offices in the US, the UK, Belgium, Russia and China. The company currently employs 1,300 staff worldwide.
