Chicago—Centiva announced the launch of its Centiva First Step iPhone and iPad application at the 2011 NeoCon show here. The apps can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes store.

Centiva is taking advantage of the iPhone and iPad’s mobility and exceptional screen resolution to present their products in a way that will help designers and architects make faster decisions wherever their projects take them.

“The iPhone and iPad apps are the latest steps in our plans to pair the creativity inherent in our products with new technologies that make the specification and selection process easier,” said Thomas Trissl, Centiva’s President. “The early testing and customer feedback with our iPad app were so strong, that we sped up the launch of the iPhone app to have both apps available at NeoCon.”

Centiva First Step for the iPhone puts the same functionality of the Centiva iPad app into the hands of designers, architects, and flooring specifiers. iPhone and iPad users can search and review flooring products, share their selections with colleagues, and order product samples immediately using the new apps. Supporting technical information for each product is fully accessible within the app as well.

“Our objective is to support our customer’s work making it easy to review products, get information, and order samples,” said Leigh Wright, Centiva’s senior designer. “The new applications put all of our sample books, technical information, and sample ordering process into the hands of iPad and iPhone users.”
