Fairlawn, Ohio—Omnova Solutions today announced a price increase of $.10 per dry pound on styrene butadiene (SB) latex for carpet and related markets, effective May 2. This increase is driven by the escalation in raw material costs utilized to manufacture SB latex products and is in addition to previously announced increases.

Omnova Solutions is a technology-based company with pro forma sales for the twelve months ending February 28, 2011 of $1.17 billion and a global workforce of approximately 3,060. Omnova is an innovator of emulsion polymers, specialty chemicals, and decorative and functional surfaces for a variety of commercial, industrial and residential end uses.
