Dalton—Halex Corporation announced the acquisition of the Orcon Corporation flooring installation business, including the Orcon lines of seam tapes, tools and adhesives.

“Orcon’s history of manufacturing and marketing high quality carpet seam tapes, adhesives and tools has created a loyal following among professional installers around the world,” said Brent Elliott, president & CEO of Halex. The goal will be to continue to create consistent value improvement for all combined customers.

“The Orcon name is the leading seam tape brand in the world with carpet installers,” Tom Downey, vice president, sales and marketing.” Orcon Products are a great addition to our existing portfolio of industry leading floor installation accessory brands including Capitol, Roberts seam tape and tack strip, Halex, Specialized, and VersaShield.”

Shipments of Orcon products will be combined with Halex brands..

Halex will market the Orcon Products from its two main manufacturing and distribution centers in Pomona, Calif., and Dalton.
