Lynwood, Wash.—Another well-attended trade show can be chalked up for the Market 2013 sponsored by the Washington State Floor Covering Association. Held Feb. 26, the fourth annual event was one of the top regional shows featuring floor/interior finishes in the country and certainly the largest in the Northwest.

More than 80 spaces were filled by a variety of exhibitors as dealers, designers and installers enjoyed the opportunity to have quality time with suppliers. Many said they were energized by the enthusiasm of vendors and excited about the release of new products.

Victoria Haugen’s creativity garnered Wanke Cascade the “best booth at the market” accolade with its “Gourmet Line-Up” theme. Attendees selected the award based on creativity, layout and design. Oriana Herrington of Décor Carpet One Floor & Home was the lucky winner of an iPad sponsored by USG’s Durock division.

Ceramic tile installation certification added a new element to the show with instructors Scott Carothers and Michael Whistler from the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation. All attendee spaces were filled with additional installers being wait-listed. Colormix 2013, presented by Sherwin Williams, provided continuing education credits as well as highlights of the latest trends in color and design.

During the past four years, the show has grown and become more productive each year. Proving to be an invaluable resource for dealers, designers and installers, vendors were already reserving their space for Market 2014.
