Dallas—The Certified Flooring Installers Association (CFI) is partnering with Natural Fiber Installers Certification (NFIC) to bring the installation industry another level of certification within the woven carpet category.

The woven certification is designed to give installers a much heavier insight into the construction and techniques needed to work with these products. “I have watched synthetics come and go, but woven and tufted wools have remained steadfast and have kept their integrity in the marketplace,” said PJ Arthur, president, NFIC.

More information about the new certification will be unveiled at CFI’s 26th Annual Convention and Expo. In fact, NFIC’s Arthur will conduct a hand sewing seminar during the convention on Aug. 21from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“This seminar is one you do not see often anymore,” CFI’s Varden said. “And, I do not know of a better instructor than PJ to show when it comes to hand sewing technique, you will not want to miss this one.”
