Home News Schönox to announce annual Worst Subfloor Contest winners

Florence, Ala.—Schönox HPS North America will present the winners of their sixth-annual Worst Subfloor Contest during a special event scheduled to take place during The International Surface Event in Las Vegas later this month.

“This was a big year for the Worst Subfloor Contest,” said Britton Watson, senior marketing and communications manager at Schönox HPS North America. “The installers and teams that worked on these projects had some really outstanding results. This year’s judges will have a tough time choosing the winners.”

The three judges selected to choose the winners are Peter Craig, concrete floor specialist for Concrete Constructives; Lewis Migliore, president of LGM and Associates; and Paul Pleshek, president of the National Academy of Floor Coverings Training and director for the IICRC. They will choose the top three from this year’s entries.

The prizes for the 2019 Worst Subfloor Contest are as follows:

  • First place: $7,000 in Schönox dollars for the company winner and an offshore deep-sea fishing trip for a team of up to three members.
  • Second place: $4,000 in Schönox dollars for the company winner and a new 256 GB Apple iPhone 11 for a team of up to three members
  • Third place: $1,000 in Schönox dollars for the company winner and a 44 mm Apple Watch for a team of up to three members.
