Calhoun, Ga.— Mohawk is celebrating two North Georgia “Best of the Best” wins. The company was voted a “Best of the Best” employer in the logistics category and Mohawk resilient garnered the same recognition in the industrial manufacturing category.

Conducted annually by the Chattanooga Times Free Press, readers nominate their picks for each category. Those with the most nominations are placed on the ballot for voting. Readers and the community members then vote for their favorites, and the top three businesses in each category are officially named the “Best of the Best.”

Voting for the North Georgia awards, which took place in late 2020, included businesses in Catoosa, Dade, Gordon, Murray, Walker and Whitfield counties. This is the first year the competition included an employer category.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by our employees, their families and our community as one of the best logistics employers in Northwest Georgia,” said Micah Riggle, senior director of human resources. “This award is a reflection of what we see daily from our dedicated professionals who work together for the good of our customers.

Mohawk’s resilient flooring manufacturing facility in Dalton was also voted “Best of the Best.”

“We have an incredible team here that is committed to working safely every day, supportive of each other and absolutely dedicated to our customers,” said Curt Novotny, director of human resources. “Being voted ‘Best of the Best’ by our community is a testament to this team and the work they do each and every day.”

The company is currently hiring for entry-level and skilled manufacturing, drivers, internships, engineering, finance, human resources, sales, supply chain and more, with an award-winning training program to help people succeed in their new roles.
