Comfortstone

Mountville, Pa.—AHF Products introduced Bruce Comfortstone engineered stone tile, featuring the look of natural stone and ceramic. Made with a durable composite material made primarily of crushed limestone, Comfortstone is an innovative alternative to natural stone.

“We call it premium engineered stone, a category unto itself,” said Yon Hinkle, vice president-resilient, AHF. “The raw beauty of natural stone flooring presents a look that never goes out of style. This collection captures the textures and vibrant color depths found in authentic stone flooring, and with grout it is almost indistinguishable from the real thing.”

Like stone and ceramic, Comfortstone is incredibly durable. But a comfortable surface makes Comfortstone tiles warmer to the touch and more comfortable underfoot. Easy to maintain and crafted to handle a lifetime of everyday household use, Comfortstone is an excellent alternative to natural stone, ceramic and porcelain flooring. Plus, the waterproof tiles feature an easy-to-clean surface that repels stains.

Comfortstone offers high performance, an affordable price point, strong aesthetics and American manufacturing. The product is designed and printed in Pennsylvania and the stone is quarried and assembled in Illinois.

Tile sizes include 16 × 16 and 12 × 24. Any of the tiles can stand on their own or be combined to create unique looks. The floors can be installed in one day vs. two to three days for stone and tile.

Since it is waterproof, Bruce Comfortstone is ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, laundry rooms and other high-moisture areas. Unlike ceramic tile, it can be installed over minor subfloor irregularities without the risk of cracking. It is also said to install in about half the time of ceramic tile. S-693 FlexStrong premixed sanded acrylic grout is available in 13 colors and the grout is stain-and-soil repellent and resistant to cracking. There are recommended colors available for each tile selection, and no seam sealer is necessary.

Comfortstone is FloorScore certified for low-VOC emissions and compliant with California Section 01350 for low VOC emissions, recognized as the strictest in the country. The grout and adhesive also are low-VOC products, which can further contribute to healthier indoor air quality. It’s backed by a Lifetime Residential and 5-year Light Commercial warranty.
